I went to the protest at the White House yesterday and sketched a lot of the scene there. Here are some of the sketches and a finished illustration relating to one of the protesters.

1971 illustration for City Paper

This is for an article on the new show the Peabody Institute is putting on. The music will be more classical takes on songs written by musicians like Led Zeppelin and Steve Reich. In 71 they were looking to the east for influence and one line that stuck out to me was about how they were all breathing the same air.
